**Machine Operator**2nd SHIFTSelf-Motivated Machine Operator responsible for set-up, troubleshooting, and operating production equipment in a food processing facility. Ideally familiar with a Horizontal Form Fill and Seal machine as well as forklift licensed and lead experience. Must be a team player and function in a safe and productive manner.Previous Machine Operator experience with food manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment strongly preferred. Ability to read, write and communicate in English is a plus. Must have excellent mechanical skills.Essential Job FunctionsFollow packaging instructions on work order to produce to meet customer s specificationsVerify quality of product with QC Lab before starting runVisually inspect product during process to ensure quality is correctVisually inspect packages while packing to ensure finished packaging meets customer s specifications.100% responsible for the room including quality, sanitation, cleanliness and productivityComplete all all production paperwork including metal detector and weight checks.Make sure all safety rules, GMP s and SOPs are followed in the roomCommunicate with supporting departments (maintenance etc.) to keep machinery running and meet production requirementsEffectively maintain and or adjust machinery to keep weights correct during the runAssist with packaging on lines when neededAssign duties as needed to packaging personnel during daily productionOther duties as assignedRequirements:GED or High School graduate preferredPrior packaging machine or machine operating experience requiredPrior experience troubleshooting machine problems and making mechanical adjustmentsAbility to read and understand packaging instructionsAbility to lift 10 to 50 lbs repeatedly during the shiftForklift certifiedWork in an environment that is dusty and may contain spices with high heatAbility to control roomBe able to work on feet for duration of shiftRegular stooping, kneeling, bending at the waist, reachingAbility to work in hot temperaturesfood manufacturing:
