Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, Fire Card required Must-Have: Experience circulating for cesarean sections in the operating room. Must have experience at a facility that performs a minimum of 200 deliveries per month. References from two supervisory individuals covering one year within the last three years are required. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The nurse will provide care to neonates and adults in an acute care setting. The daily census is approximately 12 patients, with a maximum of 15 beds in the unit. The patient ratio will be 1 nurse to 2 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The registered nurse will need to float between units as required. Candidates must possess a valid state license before starting. Previous charge experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be open to working three out of five major holidays.
