Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Orange, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,326 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Orange, California, 92868! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of combined telemetry and stepdown required License: Valid state license required in-hand when applying Certifications: CPI Blue Card required NIHSS certification required ACLS and BLS certifications required Must-Have: IV start skill Ventilation management experience Telemetry skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Phlebotomy skills Description: The registered nurse will work in a surgical step-down unit. Patients will include surgical, transplant, overflow medicine, neurology, oncology, trauma, cardiovascular, ENT, neurosurgical, hepatobiliary, and GI surgery. Vents may be involved; the nurse may float to comparable units. Every other weekend requirement is mandatory. Requests for time off must be submitted and cannot be changed once sent for review. Requests for time off are highly preferred to be no more than 7 days in a 13-week contract. No requests for time off are allowed during the first 2 weeks of assignment. Previous charge experience is preferred. Daily patient ratio is 1 RN to 3-4 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available in the unit. The daily census ranges from 30 to 33 patients. All required certifications must be in-hand during application. References from two supervisors are required. Local applicants are accepted at the same rate. Must be away for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler. The hiring manager may or may not conduct interviews.
