Job Description Job Description Description: The Clinical
Assessor provides therapeutic and prevention services to clients
and families; includes case management, education,
de-stigmatization of mental health issues, and crisis intervention.
Demonstrate high legal and ethical standards and operate from a
culturally competent and strengths based approach. The Clinical
Assessor will fulfill productivity requirements, comply with all
documentation standards, and participate in an on-call rotation.
This position will be responsible for facilitating small support
and psychoeducational groups. If necessary, the Clinical Assessor
is responsible for coordinating Mental Health services and Link and
Consultation services in a manner to ensure follow-through on court
ordered service plan, IEP Mental Health Plans, or development of a
plan for families that are referred. The Clinical Assessor will
also coordinate the overall care and transition of clients within
our programs or to a community partner should it be necessary and
serves as a support and case manager to provide screening and
assist in linking services needed by members served and their
family and by centralizing this coordination, we are able to
eliminate the risk of clients being overlooked, experiencing
unnecessary delays, or receiving inadequate services. The Clinical
Assessor Client Care Coordinator must be able to offer a level of
sophisticated centralized oversight between programs, other SCCS
teams, and outside agencies. Requirements: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling,
Psychology, or related field required. Licensure, Registration,
Certification PsyD/PhD/LCSW/LMFT preferred. If not licensed, active
registration with the California BBS or Board of Psychology as
Registered Psychologist. Valid CA driver’s license and proof of
automobile insurance. Completion of CPR/First Aid within the first
thirty (30) days of employment. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilize a trauma-informed approach when working with children and
their families. Provide individual and/or family therapy, formulate
diagnoses and complete clinical assessments and treatment plans.
Acquire and apply up-to date knowledge of evidenced based
interventions and methodologies. Administer measures such as the
GAD-7 and PHQ-9 and utilize results to inform treatment. Utilize
Whole Person Care model when treatment planning to maximize client
empowerment. Comply with all HIPAA and SCCS confidentiality
standards. Adhere to all relevant standards and regulations for
productivity, timeliness, and documentation. Communicate and
collaborate effectively with outside agencies to ensure clients’
treatment goals are met and in compliance with court-orders. Attend
all required meetings, such as Children and Family Team meetings.
Effectively collaborate with the program’s multidisciplinary team
to provide comprehensive and cohesive care. Skillfully manage
crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques as
appropriate. Clinicians will have the opportunity to provide
psychotherapy to commercially insured clients for an additional
stipend through South Coast’s Hope Healing Connection Program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be proficient in Microsoft
Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook and able to navigate electronic
health records systems. Office operation and administration
experience preferred. Experience with Medi-Cal billing preferred.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, remain organized and
manage multiple tasks at once. Ability to work effectively as a
multidisciplinary team. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to drive a
motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and
frequently long distances (one hour or more) to ensure safe
transport to client settings and to safely transport clients to
appointments as needed. Senses of vision, hearing and smell
sufficient to regularly operate a motor vehicle, to visualize
threats in the environment or risks to clients, and to operate
safely in the field. Required to occasionally lift and carry 10-20
pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more
flights) and walk while in route to and during family visits.

Salary Range: Clinician Tier I: Masters Degree with less then 1500
hours $71,640 - $74,280 Clinician Tier II: Masters Degree with 1500
Hours completed $76,920 - $79,600 Clinician Tier III: Licensed
$85,280 - $87,960 Clinician Tier IV : 2 years post License $90,640
