Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available at an elementary school located in El Cajon, CA. This contract position runs for a full semester, starting February 2nd and concluding June 4th, aligning with the end of the school year. The role is on-site and requires working Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day. Key responsibilities include delivering school-based OT services to support students developmental and functional needs. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including on-site Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) support and another full-time OT, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student care. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Occupational Therapist with current certification to provide services in school settings Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy Strong knowledge of school OT best practices and ability to develop individualized intervention plans Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to providing in-person services; remote work and off-site COTA coverage are not supported for this role Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and write reports supporting individualized educational plans (IEPs) Develop and implement effective treatment interventions tailored to student needs Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and support staff Maintain accurate documentation aligned with school and legal requirements Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development Location: Elementary school site in El Cajon, California Benefits: Full-time schedule with consistent weekday hours Support from COTA and fellow OT colleagues on site Opportunity to impact student success during a critical instructional period This role requires on-site presence throughout the contract term, with no remote service options available.
