Job Description Job Description Description: We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Support Caregiver to provide daily assistance to an individual who requires support with morning routines, personal care, meal preparation, and mobility. This role is essential for ensuring the individual’s safety and well-being, particularly due to an increased risk of falls. Key Responsibilities: Morning Routine Support: Assist the individual with waking up, personal hygiene, dressing, and preparing for the day. Meal Assistance: Support the individual in preparing and eating breakfast, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process. Medication Oversight: Ensure the individual takes their prescribed morning medication as scheduled, following all agency guidelines for medication assistance. Fall-Risk Support: Provide hands-on assistance when the individual is standing up, transferring, or moving around, with careful attention to fall-prevention practices. Safety Monitoring: Maintain a safe environment by observing for potential hazards and responding promptly to the individual’s needs. Documentation: Record daily activities, support provided, and any health or behavioral observations in accordance with program requirements. Requirements: Requirements: Two valid forms of identification. Current TB test results. CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols, especially regarding fall-risk procedures. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor. Ability to work the 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM shift consistently.
