The Labor and Delivery Technician plays a vital role in supporting the healthcare team during the labor and delivery process. This position involves assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the delivery area, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Duties Prepare the labor and delivery room by ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in working order. Assist healthcare professionals during labor and delivery by providing support with medical instruments and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the delivery area throughout the process. Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, restocking as necessary. Load and unload medical supplies, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to transport supplies within the facility. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other staff members to ensure a smooth workflow Skills Experience in warehouse operations is preferred, including heavy lifting capabilities. Proficiency in route driving with experience as a van driver or box truck operator is advantageous. Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling is essential. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and their families. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment is highly valued.
