Job Description:
Our long standing, manufacturing client located nearby Seal
Beach is seeking a Controller to manage the daily operational
accounting functions as well as spearhead process improvement
initiatives. The Controller will play a vital role in the
establishment of a stable accounting function. This is a great
opportunity to implement process improvement and efficiencies in
the daily and month-end accounting processes. For this role, the
Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the
following: Hands-on involvement and oversight of the daily and
month-end domestic accounting operations while managing,
developing, and leading the accounting staff Actively participate
in all aspects of the full accounting cycle and provide financial
statements and related analysis for senior management Assist with
operation’s budgeting and forecasting function and partner with
various departments for financial reporting and analysis Assist in
the implementation of best practices utilizing ERP functions as
well as drive the documentation of internal processes and controls
Lead and/or participate in organizational goals and departmental
projects and initiatives that drive process improvement within the
accounting function The qualified Controller must possess the
following: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance At least ten
years of work experience ideally within a
manufacturing/distribution/logistics industry The ability to work
hands-on in the details of the accounting records, lead, develop,
and train accounting staff, and collaborate with various
departments for financial reporting and analysis purposes Mindset
to leverage existing ERP system to automate and improve accounting
efficiencies and reduce manual processes For further details,
